Alaska Glacier Tour
LeConte Glacier in Leconte Bay is a 12 mile-long fjord carved out of the coastal mountain range by glaciers over the course of thousands of years. LeConte Glacier is North America's southern most tidewater glacier. Harbor Seals are viewed here on the icebergs "sunning" themselves.. LeConte Bay is used as their breeding, birthing and rearing area.
A glacier tour with Capt. Vern in LeConte Bay is the highlight of many traveler’s Alaska vacation. The primitive wilderness setting with rock walls, towering waterfalls, mystical marine life and the thunder of a calving glacier provide for the sense of the real Alaska.
Capt. Vern also provides transporting services and the TIDE~N~KNOTS is perfect for transporting campers with all their gear including kayaks.
