King Salmon:
The waters surrounding Petersburg, Alaska are natural feeding grounds for Alaska King Salmon.  King Salmon in the Petersburg area will range in sizes from 20 to over 50 lbs. King salmon fishing season begins in May and ends in early July. The Blind Slough King Salmon fishery in Wrangell Narrows has traditionally provided liberal daily retention limits for both resident and nonresident anglers and are determined annually in the spring.

Coho (Silver) Salmon:
Silver salmon generally return in July with the run lasting until the end of September.  When coho fishing, we may troll or mooch depending on the conditions.  We fish from the tip of Prince of Wales Island to Frederick Sound in pursuit of these beautiful fish.

Halibut:
Petersburg, Alaska offers some of the world's finest halibut fishing. Averaging 25 to 50 lbs, they can reach up to 400 lbs! Halibut offer exciting fishing action. Capt. Vern provides first class rods and reels capable of handling these monsters of the deep.

Crabbing:
Setting your own crab pots for dungeness and tanner(snow) crab is an activity the whole group can enjoy.  Capt. Vern will show you how to bait and set the pot as well as the proper method for cleaning and preparing your catch.  Crab fishing is a year around activity with late spring to early fall being the most productive for these species
