TIDE~N~KNOTS Charters and Tours is located in Petersburg, Alaska on the northern tip of Mitkof Island, in the heart of southeast Alaska’s Inside Passage. Owned and operated by Petersburg’s local resident Captain Vern Anderson, a United States Coast Guard licensed Master with over 30,000 hours (you won’t find many skippers with this much experience) of sea time. He has operated large and small vessels from Washington State to the majestic waters of southeast Alaska.
Captain Vern is a third generation Alaskan who enjoys sharing his outdoor adventures and knowledge of southeast Alaskan waters while providing world class fishing and marine sightseeing charters on a quality fishing boat.
Captain Vern’s vessel, the TIDE~N~KNOTS, is a converted commercial fishing vessel capable of cruising comfortably at 20 knots. There is plenty of forward deck space for fishing, sightseeing, or transporting. The cabin is fully heated with plenty of windows to observe wildlife and the majestic scenery.
Conveniently located in Petersburg, Alaska’s south harbor, Capt.Vern specializes in salmon and halibut fishing charters, whale watching, glacier tours, crab fishing, and transporting to Forest Service Cabins. Petersburg’s central location in the heart of the southeast Alaska panhandle provides easy access to Frederick Sound or Sumner Strait.
While traveling with Capt. Vern to your chosen destination, it is common to observe whales, sea lions, seals, porpoise, eagles and the occasional bear walking along the beach.
